The K-pop fan community is a tight-knit group and a lot like a large family. When one of us are hurt, we are there to stick up for them, help them heal, and help them move on. Through the months I have been here on tumblr alone, I have seen people be harmed by hurtful words with little backing multiple times as they hide behind anonymity. However, on other social-networking sites, I have seen this as well; like twitter and other places where the attacker cannot hide behind anonymous postings to do their dirty work. Words are much more harmful when we know that the person doing it to us is someone we have worked with, trusted, and at times, called a friend. Which brings me to the reason behind making this post: Myself along with other well-respected members of the online K-pop community have been witness to a terrible case of cyber-bullying. And, it’s time we make it stop.

The victim of this is Ayumin. She is a very well-respected Sungmin stan and for many months has been the primary source for many Super Junior fans and has dedicated much of her time doing hard work for people in the E.L.F. fandom. She has orchestrated projects, scrapbooks, etc, for Sungmin fans to show their love for him and to allow fans to send in fanart, videos, writings, and well-wishes to a wonderful entertainer. In short, she has done nothing to deserve this. She has dedicated much time, effort, and money into this fandom who has turned its back on her in less than six-months, and myself along with this group we have assembled are not about to watch her be scared and bullied out of the fandom she loves so much. She has been a super junior fan for a very long time. It would be such a shame to watch her leave something she has invested so much time and love into. But this extends far past the reaches of fandom. This is not a simple matter of ELF, this is about a girl’s life.

I regret that we waited too long to speak out about this and confront the people involved. We have known about what has been going on for a few months now, and have done little but be there for Ayu, when in reality we needed to be calling these people out. It is shaming on the E.L.F. fandom what these people are doing and how they are treating a fellow fan. This is a black spot on our title and roles as ‘Ever Lasting Friends” And it’s time we step up and right their horrible wrongs. Overall, it is shaming on people who call themselves human beings. These people have literally come deathly close to ruining Ayu’s life. They have driven her nearly to suicide twice, left her feeling hopeless and alone. It ends here.

To begin, they call themselves ‘The Tribe.’ They have created a hate group for her and they go around trying to recruit members to their cause trying to find people with a similar loath for Ayu. They then bash her on their tribe twitter accounts and talk about how they wish she would die, how they wish her projects would fail, how they wish she would get cancer. They even talked about what kind of cancer they hoped she got. Breast cancer? Lung cancer? Disgusting. These people have said some of the most vile things I have ever seen, and they have no justification for doing it to her either. This has been a problem since around december of last year, but reached full harming potential when the tribe was formed.

The members consist of their leader known as Gold (mary gold/goldie). On tumblr, she is known as aegyoking and on twitter, she is known as @thisisgoldie but her secret (tribe) account is @__azenith which was previously @_lovingming. Slutmin is also involved also known as @slutmin on twitter. One of the other members has an unknown tumblr but their twitter is @Ampathy. Another is minbunny on tumblr and similarly, @minbunny on twitter. However there are more involved, these are just the main members. ***Please note that just because certain usernames are displayed in the screencaps it does not mean they are part of the tribe.

This is clearly eluding to her as Ayu did delete most personal posts and create another personal blog because these people were stalking her.

The caps are explained here: This is Ayu’s friend Binnie. When she found out she was being harassed by a group of people she asked her if it was Gold because she gave her a very bad vibe, she was pushy with her and it made her feel uncomfortable. Binnie is a lovely person who generally loves anyone, but she also had the same feelings about Gold from the beginning. She is also a Sungmin fan and we do believe she is also a perminent member.

A few days later she got upset because people have been harassing her and her friends and she’d had enough. We asked her about it and she told us this, she said it was ok for us to show this to you.

You can see that Gold is clearly up to something here, she failed to manipulate Binnie so they began to attack her. This is what they have been doing lately, and minbunny’s tweets further confirm this.

As you can see from the dates, this has been going on for a long period of time and needs to be stopped. They have created a living nightmare for this girl who has done nothing against these people or this fandom.

Let this be a lesson that cyber-bullying is not ok. This post will serve as a reminder of how petty, trivial matters can be turned into explosive bullying and unnecessary hate. This post does not serve to spread hate, but to alleviate it. This is not a target list for anon hate this is a list of people should cease these terrible actions and nothing more than that. This is us calling out the mal-deeds of a group against a person who has done nothing to warrant these actions.
